Meet The Maker
Hi, I’m Samaneh — the artist behind SAMA. My journey began with drawing and painting, but it was during my studies at the Albertina Academy of Fine Arts in Turin that I truly found my path through sculpting and mask-making. What started as a fascination with masks grew into a deep artistic language — blending human and animal forms, feminine energy, surreal visions, and emotional expression. Today, I channel that same spirit into handcrafted accessories that feel like miniature masks or wearable sculptures. Each piece carries a story, sometimes eerie, sometimes mysterious — always open to your own interpretation.
I work primarily with a unique air-dry clay that doesn’t need to be kiln-fired like traditional ceramics. Instead, I seal and strengthen it with resin, making my pieces durable yet lightweight, and opening new doors for one-of-a-kind, intricate designs. My accessories often feature eyes, ears, and expressive faces — motifs that have been part of my signature style since my university days. Whether it’s a multi-eyed creature, a chimera, or a masked figure, my goal is to invite curiosity, spark connection, and offer you a piece of my dreamlike world to wear and carry with you.
